The Rundown: Gaia goes on a strange trip as things get darker for the girls.
Gaia wakes up alongside another member of the band and her best friend Morgaine, the only person who really seems to know her. As they decide to drop out for the day, the girls take a walk through the woods, but Gaia sees something dark within the forest. Something that doesn’t feel like the drug induced trip she’s currently on.
After returning to the band, the dark side of Si is revealed and the bus takes off for their next destination picking up a lovely young hitchhiker along the way. As they make their way to the next gig, another drug trip will take Gaia somewhere dark where violence invades her mind and might take the life of one of them.
The Story: Mullane delivers another great issue with a growing mystery that continues to intrigue me. I love the fact that each issue is from the point of view of a different character and I love seeing how each of those stories overlap and connect with each other. As the story continues to build, I find myself more invested in the characters and their story.
The Art: Tula Lotay continues to be one of my favorite artists. There is something beautifully ethereal about the art in this issue. The entire series is visually stunning and that continues on every page and panel of this one.
